Bring your own bucket (BYO storage)

קודי שגיאה: BK-DEST
Instead of Vigavo's managed storage you can send a project's backups to an S3-compatible bucket you own (Backblaze B2, AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi and similar). Available on plans that list "Your own S3 bucket" on /pricing.
Set it up
- Create a private bucket and an access key limited to that bucket (read, write, delete).
- On the project's Backups tab open "Your own bucket" and enter the endpoint (must start with
https://), key id, secret, bucket, region and an optional prefix. - Vigavo tests the bucket by writing, reading and deleting a small probe object. Only a passing test is saved. The secret is stored encrypted with your account key.
Good to know
- Backups are encrypted before they leave our server, also when they go to your bucket; you need Vigavo to decrypt them.
- BYO storage does not count toward your managed storage cap.
- Endpoints on private or reserved addresses are refused.
- If you delete the bucket or the key, runs fail with BK-DEST until you save a working destination again. Snapshots that lived only in a removed destination cannot be restored by Vigavo.
